Correction of Asymmetrical Breast Due to Benign Neopla´Â


Abstract
The breast has been represented as the symbol of the female and it has been known that the size and contour of the breast are related to body image and self concept. The breast may change to a pathological size by some kind of condition such as breast tumor. Deformed breasts are a severe handicap, me tally and physically, especially in younger female.
In department of plastic surgery, St. Paul¢¥s Hospital, Catholic University Medical College, two cases of marked deformed breasts which results from giant fibroadenoma and benign cystosarcoma phylodes have been satisfactorily treated by tumor excision and primary breast reconstruction.
Now we are reporting two patients who had asymmetrical breasts, with emphasis on the need for an accurate preoperative assessment and proper choice for the reconstruction.
